So I just finished watching Oculus. The horrororororor movie with the sexy Karen Gillan and a few other actors.
I'm not going to say I liked it. Now as far as liking a scary mind bendy movies goes, again I shall bring up Europa Report. Or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. That one was really good.
But it wasn't bad either.
It did have me hooked until the end. And made me cringe. A lot. Which I do believe a horrororororororororrrororrrrrrrororr movie should do. So congrazzles for that at least.
More than that though it got me to thinking about one of my own fears actually. And this fear primarily stems from various creepypastas. As I think that all imagination comes from reality, thereso I think there is always a grain of truth to even the wildest of ideas. I digress, the fear is of a place, dimension, or reality that you yourself do not know the rules for. We know the rules of this reality fairly well. They seem predictable enough. And again, as far as we know.
But the idea of coming into contact with a different reality than our own, not knowing the rules, and it's reality being completely different from our own to the point of damaging our current reality, is really scary. I remember specifically reading a random article about Canada and an elevator that took you to a floor with a different reality. And it did have a rather, unorthodox set of rules. If I remember it even a little correctly.
That scares the shit out of me.
And especially combined with the idea that there exists within our and adjacent realities, malevolent creatures, entities, and energies. That these factors could influence our own reality in that way.
::shudders::
That seems to be a theme. Elevators and alternate realities. Hmm.
On a final note, while I did like the day, the evening can go fuck itself.
Sexy,
