The real reality of our current reality is more akin to science fiction

Hello friends.

We live in such strange, interesting times don't we?

Scary viral infections.
Possible government bailouts.
I got a Tik Tok and actually post to it.

Strange indeed.

Also strange is I have now experienced a fairly strong earthquake.  I tell ya, it earns its name.  Even still aftershocks are going off about every 10 - 30 minutes.  Only one has felt close to the initial though.
We were finishing up our morning meeting at the airport when a 5.7 magnitude quake hit a little west of where we were.  It literally seemed like a bomb went off at first, just without the bang, but as the few seconds passed and everyone ran to either get out of the building or at least out of the path of the heaviest of objects held above us, it made sense that the Earth had just punched itself.  Everyone ended up outside and after a fair amount of waiting we were sent home.  Home for me being the hotel.  Ya know, structural integrity and whatnot.
I won't soon forget the feeling of the ground moving in such a way as being on a boat.  On the water.  But on land.  Freaky.

Well back here at the ranch, the power was out.  The poor lady at the front desk had told us it happened as soon as she walked in the door and was understandably very scared.  Doors still worked though, so I made it in, didn't take anything off, in fact added many things in case I needed to book it quick like, and did what came naturally in the time frame without power.  Ate some cookies then took a nap.  The nap was often interrupted by previously mentioned aftershocks, but eventually power came back on and I turned on the news to see the full damage report.  Downtown Salt Lake and the airport took some serious damage.  I'm curious if we will even be back to work tomorrow.

Ok, bit of a break there.

Under continuing coverage, the coronavirus or covid-19.
It's been a time.
Bars closing, food service being limited to takeout or delivery, even my hotel reducing group activities, taking out the chairs in the lobby, closing the pool and weight room.
More importantly though, THEY TOOK AWAY MY COFFEE!
Now mind you, I am not your normal coffee drinker.  I like to enjoy my coffee.  Take my time with it.  So as such I don't drink it in the mornings, especially if I have to work, I like to take part in the afternoon or at night after work.  It had become somewhat of a ritual over here.
Get back.
Wash hands previously just due to gross work, now virus.
Go get coffee from downstairs.
Come back up and enjoy said coffee while changing out of work clothes.

It was wonderful.
Now dashed to the winds of time, for now.
Curse you viral infections!!!

Also everyone panic bought water and toilet paper.
I get the water to a degree.
I don't get the tp.
It's a respiratory disease.
Not Taco Bell.
People be crazy.

Also also I am particularly proud of my tags.

Well now I am off to shower as I have needed one, and continue watching Forged in Fire.

Sexy,
Wishing you a goodnight, good health, and good hunting.
