Lies, that deceive

Apparently when left alone at home, with the internet, I watch cat, fail, and conspiracy videos.

Sometimes, all three contain lies.

Wait, music...in order, The Material, Gorillaz, Kenna, The Pillows, Junior Senior.
Would have preferred Skye Sweetnam but couldn't find her.

Speaking mainly of the third option.  I present to you two of the most extreme, polar opposite, not only in ideals but in depiction, speakings of the same situations:

The Collapse of the American Dream  Roundabouts 16:44
And
Drunk History Vol 1.  Well the whole thing really.

So the second is kind of what I take to be the "normal" view of history.  Alexander Hamilton was supposed to be this beacon of hope and light for the people.  While Aaron Burr was, well kind of a dick.  Notice Thomas Jefferson, who actually became president, is not mentioned.
And yes before you completely knock this off, I know it's drunk.  Just pointing out the differences mainly.

Now, we move on, or rather back, to the first.  I love this video.  Absolutely.  Mainly because it goes against the norm.  At least, I like to think it does.  Maybe, just maybe my idealism of things being as fucked up as they are clouds my judgement a tad.  Well anyhoo, this paints everything in that situation in a much deeper shade of deceit.
Alexander Hamilton is seemingly a proponent of a national, independently owned banking system, where as Thomas Jefferson is diametrically opposed to this idea and Aaron Burr pretty much takes it upon himself to rectify this deadlock.

The takeaway I say from this is, what is the real truth?  USHistory.org of course doesn't say either of these sides.  It does supply history of all three characters and supports the notion that Hamilton had serious involvement in the financial system of new America.  Now if we look at the current financial system of the relatively-not-so-old America, I think we can all regard this as a reasonably bad decision on his part.  So go Burr.  And Jefferson.  Just sayin.

So again, the idea that history is biased pops up here.  By the winners most typically.  And more so, the fact that so many especially Americans are ignorant of anyone's history, including their own, is terribly sad.  Just take a look at Columbus.  Or Thanksgiving, Or Christmas....later.
We are so over-privileged.  I include myself even in this grouping.  I have access and ability far beyond what I admit to, and what do I do with it?  Write a blog.  But to me, it's what I want to do.  Among other things.  And perhaps it's more of a start than doing nothing.

So to perhaps end on a serious note, maybe not,
Do you believe blood needs to be spilt, historically and currently speaking, in order to achieve multiple outcomes, including peace?
Do you believe sacrifices are necessary to maintain freedom?  Are you willing to be one?

Or are you of the mindset that this isn't that important?  That it doesn't affect you.  Someone else's problem. It'll go away.  No need to get in a huff.  Trust those above you, if only due to our own lack of volition.
I personally believe all humans are equal.  Unless we ourselves allow others to be above us.
I also believe all humans are equally broken and don't belong on this planet.
But we are here, and for goodness sake, all we can figure out how to do is fight each other.
I just simply ask, myself mostly, what can be done about it?

Well to truly end on a not so serious note, Thanks for the over 1000 views, yes I'm looking toward you Sarah Palin, and all the scam sites.  Thanks.  I also lied, Kenna then Gorillaz.

Contemplating Sexy, away!
