Ok, I didn't want to write this. I didn't want to write anything at all.
Because I knew there would be many posts. Rants, conspiracy theories, potential plots, and whatnot.
I have even read some of that.
But this is what I have to say.
I am not patriotic. By any stretch of the imagination.
And I am sure that we do not know the exact motivation behind the events of that day.
What I do know, is that it was a tragedy. A pitiful waste of human life. And know that by pitiful, I mean those feeble souls that planned and carried out this horrifying event.
Now, two things. Raise your hand if you remember what you were doing that day, hearing about it, seeing it...Good. Also, in these past years since, even if you haven't noticed any press coverage, much like this year, have you looked at a calender, or your phone, noticed the day, and remembered? I know I have.
And so, for those who have performed any service today, whether it is in retail, like me, in some kind of military service, or even schooling, I salute all of you. For those that had to keep on living, I say stand proud and remember, out of respect, and hopefully no shame or regret.
And for those of you who went out today, and complained of any service you had received, or decided to make a harsh comment to another human, or perhaps, stole from someone else. To you rotten souls, my only hope is that you can realize that you lived through today, when many poor, unfortunate casualties of a brutal and terrifying catastrophe did not.
You weren't kidding when you said you could get extremely cruel with your words. However.. you are correct.
