Americans, by way of stupidity.

I mean it's not as if I ever write about anything I care about.  Hmm, I guess I can see the irony in that statement.
Srsly tho.

Ok so two major points to make here.  The second was brought up first but were going to go in reverse order because of work.  Getitgotitgood.

So my one job(no names so I can't be firedooohscary)lost it's systems yesterday.  Dead in the water.  Only cash could be used and only one register was working.  So after the fiasco that was my first job that made me late,(I regret nothing, just a fiasco none the less) I went in to work, again.  It's common for me.  Well, part of my job at this point was to not really greet every customer, but let them know in what I presumed to be a reasonable and friendly fashion, that we were accepting cash only.  Oh interjection here, The other part of my job later was to then stock things, that put me away from the door.  A lot.  Smart huh?  Let me dip into a few examples of things not to respond with in this instance.

DO NOT say, "What" like in disbelief.  Shit happens, listen and deal with it.
DO NOT say, "So what about checks?"  When I have to repeat myself slowly with only two words, ie CASH....ONLY(no caps rage unfortunately) I'm no happy.
DO NOT say, "So what about EBT?" TWICE.  I'm sorry your slower intelligence showed up in my store, but don't drag me down with you.
and finally DO NOT say, "Why?" in that huffy sort of, why are you inconveniencing me, kinda tone.  BECAUSE I JUST FELT LIKE IT OK???  I of course have absolutely no legitimate reason for telling anyone anything ever.  Just to let you know.  And she was cute too.  Really sucked.

Well that was more than I thought it would be.  ____________________

Point TWO!

so this unfortunately came to my attention rather recently.
As a while ago we, being me and J J, caught the rousing last section of the women's world cup.
While we were waiting far too long for food.

So yeah, Japan won.  I didn't mind, just saying.  But, apparently some of those oh so wonderfully shining examples of American sportsmanship got the attention of Sankaku Complex
WARNING:  Sankaku contains, boobies, penii, and bears oh my.  No really, some bears.

Anyhoosiwhatsit.
Reaction to Japan's victory
This is what caught my non-pervy eye.(it's the right btw)
These are just some of the, I would guess multitude of posts similar to this on various media network sites.
Gotta love America.
I particularly like the referencing of Pearl Harbor.  Most certainly the, "First Pearl Harbor, now this?"
Yes, a soccer match is a great comparison to a military attack.  To the victor go the spoils after all.  Of course if spoils mean nuclear warheads, I dunno if it's so much a victory.  All I'm saying is that there is no point in bring such an off page topic up.  Mistakes were made in the past on both sides and we should just get over it.
And then all the tsunami comments.  Yeah, even if you don't go there for fear of the anime boobies flapping in your face, people actually said they hope another tsunami hits, or that it didn't do good enough, or that we won't be willing to help.
Really?

I mean, seriously, we are talking about soccer.  WOMEN'S soccer.  Who the hell actually watches it?  Well I should say more that the WNBA.
Although I will freely admit, there is some bitterness to be awarded to the side of Americans.  It was my understanding that in both the women's and men's football, we usually got bumped out in nearly the first few rounds.
So good job America, you waited for the women to do better, then just because they lost fair and square you violently and indiscriminately lash out.  Kudos.

They should have just shook hands, ya know, hugged a little and maybe copped a feel.
That's what team sports are all about.  And yes men, I'm pointing at you.
And not with my finger.

Nother interjection here.  On the whole, we hope another tsunami hits you because of a soccer match, thing......well damn, I was going to give a comparative example of a multinational sporting event held in the US(Not the Olympics).  Balls.  Well anyway, let's see the Japanese reaction to the Super Bowl being thrown off because of Yosemite blowing.  Oh wait, everyone will care about that.  My bad.

Also, I just thought about how the World Series only comprises National teams.  Woot.  Then again, who plays baseball?  Oh, a lot of people, thank you Google.  So go America!  Again!

Now that you are substantially more disturbed than you were upon the initial reading of this, I bid you good day.

  1. There's no denying we're related... As for Yosemite, I'd be willing to bet if it happened most of today's "geniuses" would ask- "Yosemite who?".
